Decorating the Tree

Sorry I know it’s a bit early for Christmas but there was a dream I had and I had to draw it out. Hope you all have a great Christmas and Happy New Year. Please enjoy the short version of the dream I had.

Four friends gather around a tree decorating it with voodoo dolls, dead mice, skulls, knives, ghosts and pumpkins.

Mort: “Now, that’s a tree!”

Tori: “Totally!”

Maddy: “…. But no angel.”   Pouts like a baby.

Tori: “Sigh…. First not enough glitter, so I painted perfectly good mice in glitter, now this.”

Mort: “Actually I have to agree with Maddy, All Christmas trees have a topper.”

Ryu: “Not to worry. I have something really special in mind.”

Maddy: “Really!”

Ryu: “Yep. I just figured it out a few hours ago.” Maddy twirls, which makes her flowing dress pick up and slap every object beside her.

Mort: “What’s up with the dress Maddy?”

Maddy: “Tori made it for me as an early present. Isn’t it sweet?”  

Mort:  “Yeah… Very sparkly”

Tori: Why don’t you show him the special design I built in? 

Maddy smiled brightly while her wings unfold through the slits in the back of the dress.

Mort: “Nice. It must have taken a long time to get this right.”  Mort glanced at Tori with confusion.

Tori: “Not really.”

Ryu mumbles something in Latin. Maddy begins to sparkle then shrink. Mort panics   but the other two smile as Maddy turns into a doll on the floor.

Tori: “It’s Christmas Magic!”  

Mort: “What the hell just happened?” Ryu picks up the angel doll and puts her on top of the tree.

Ryu: “Just an early present for Tori. It’s not permanent…. I don’t think?”  Ryu cringes as Tori leaps up and wraps her arms around her in a bear hug.

Tori: “Best Present EVER!!!!”   A moment of silence passes.

Mort: “… Isn’t a topper supposed to light up?”

Tori: “I’ll get the matches!”  She runs out of the room.
